Walking along the darkened streets
Eyes closed and a faint heartbeat
Smiles across the faces of our youth
All of the times we had spent
Didn't know how much it meant
Till my eyes opened to the truth
But all the memories of me
Have been shut into a box
Never to see the light of day
And now I'm wasting away
Laughter filled the air we breathed
There was nothing we couldn't be
Until we had to say goodbye
Now there's nothing I can do
To put my life back into you
I'm just left to question why
And I know what you must do
Just to make it through the day
I have to rot here in this box
To make sure you will be ok
All my memories of me
Have been shut into a box
Never to see the light of day
And I've been wasting away
Maybe one day you'll see
I'm worth another look
If you're heart can take it
I won't ever break it
